Time Flies! Don’t Waste Your Dash!

Time flies! As we age, we see the effects of time. A child can watch the effects of time as he records the changes in their height on a wall, and children and grandchildren grow up before our eyes into adults. We watch our hair turn gray and observe the sagging of our skin while lines form on our faces. We tend to look back on how we wasted money or opportunities. We plan for the future for much of our lives but quickly realize that most have neglected planning for an eternal future. Instead, most work to save to have ease in their winter years.

The dash on a tombstone between birth and death represents the years you walked upon the earth. What have you done with those years? What will you do with your remaining days, months, and years? I want to encourage you to plan for your eternal future and not waste your time on what this world offers. Instead, go into the world and tell those you encounter about Jesus—the true Jesus of the Bible.

The Bible warns us that many will come offering a different gospel, a different Jesus, and a different spirit, which will be acceptable to many.

For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. 2 Corinthians 11:4

Where would one find the True Jesus? You would find Him in the Torah, the prophets, the writings (The Old Testament), the Gospels, the letters, and Revelation (The New Testament), which equal The Bible.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 3-4). As Paul said in Acts 26:22, with the help that comes from God, we testify before men, great and small, that nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass.

Muslims, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Catholics, and others offer a different Jesus. Their Jesus is a Jesus plus works, and a Jesus that has been written about outside of Scripture, not the true Jesus.

Don’t waste your dash!!! Go into the world and be a light to the world. Expose that deeds of darkness by giving this world the TRUE JESUS. He is the Way, the Truth, and The Life, and no one can come to the Father unless they come through Him. (John 14:6)
