Take No Part in the Unfruitful Works of Darkness, but instead expose them.

The wicked do their business behind closed doors, as cockroaches hide in crevasses and behind walls,  they do not broadcast their schemes. They lure weak men and women into their secret places to dangle the bait that only men can offer from the world: money, sexual pleasures, and material desires. They live for instant gratification. They live to free themselves of any hindrance that would persuade them otherwise. Then when numbers have been gained, they broadcast their wickedness as cultural correctness. Why do they call themselves “Woke”? They have the opposite desire in mind. Instead of waking people up to the schemes of men, they desire to get them drunk with pleasure to continue to seduce them. That is not Woke; it is drunkenness. They cry that God is love, and He is, but not the love by their standard. He is love based on His standard. He is the Standard for love and truth, not a culture that changes with the tide.

Christians, we are not to be like the wicked that keep their aspirations hidden until they go in for the kill. We are to be proclaimers of the TRUTH. We are to speak the Truth openly. The Wisdom of God, Jesus Christ, is to be proclaimed in the busy streets, the markets, at the entrances of cities, and in noisy places.

As Paul Revere rode through the streets of Boston to alert the colonists of the British approaching, we must stand openly with the light of the gospel and shine it in the darkness. We must warn that the Lord is coming. Flee the wrath to come. Repent of your sin and turn to  Him.

He will conquer His enemy that has ignored His counsel. The storm is approaching; calamity, anguish, and great distress will fall upon those who ignore His knowledge. DEATH is inevitable; when you pass into eternity, grace will no longer be offered. Those who ignored God their entire lives to live for themselves and have hated Him, and His word will undoubtedly receive what they asked for… Hell. A permanent solution to a rebellious world. A world that has removed God and His Laws. A world that laughed in God’s face, a world that wanted to be their own God. Now, they will have what they asked for in full. They will eat the rotten fruit of their ways for eternity.

This is different from the message most want to hear, even many self-proclaiming Christians. A diluted Christianity is preferred. One that lets you do what is right in your own eyes that makes you accountable to no one but yourself. We are told in Holy Scripture to contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints. Jude warns us that people have crept in unnoticed to pervert the grace of our God. The gospel has been perverted. We as Christians are to stand on the Truth of God’s Word, not to be plankton that is swept along in the ocean currents. We must go against the tide of culture that suppresses the truth of the Word of God in unrighteousness.

Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice;  at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:   “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?  If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.  Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded,  because you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof,  I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you, when terror strikes you like a storm and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.  Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me.  Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,  would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof,   therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way, and have their fill of their own devices.  For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacency of fools destroys them;  but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.”

Proverbs 1:20-33

Don’t Waste Your Dash

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,

making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
